Friday evening proved positive for the Leopard Racing team in the third and final free practice session for the Qatar Moto2 Grand Prix 2016. Under the floodlights of the Losail International Circuit, Danny Kent improved his lap times from the first two sessions of yesterday, giving confidence ahead of qualifying.

In the 45 minutes available of FP3, Danny headed on track with his Kalex machine after analyzing the data of the long day yesterday.

The Moto3 World Champion turned laps both on used tyres and with new tyres, completing a total of 16 laps with a best time of 2’00.285, his fastest lap placing him in twentieth position.

Tomorrow at 18:55 local time (GMT +3) will see the official qualifications that will decide the formation of the grid for the Moto2 Grand Prix of Qatar 2016.

#52 Danny KENT – 13th (2’00.285):
“I’m happy with the way the session went, ideally we should have had this yesterday as we matched the same time we did in testing. We made a few changes on the bike from yesterday which has improved some areas but not others, again we’ll look at the data and see what we can improve for tomorrow. I’m happy to push up to P13 in that session, although we will still push to improve some more tomorrow.”
