Danny takes last lap eighth in Argentinian qualifying
The adventure of the Leopard Racing team in Moto2 continued apace on the second day of the Argentina GP. Saturday hosted the second Qualifying session of the year where Danny Kent produced an eighth place start from his final lap.
Grid positions aside, the main focus of the opening two days was to close the gap to the leading riders.
The reigning Moto3 World Champion, Danny Kent, spent the morning looking for better grip as conditions improved. Continual developments to his setting allowed him to end Qualifying in eighth thanks to a 1’43.858.
Warm Up begins at 10:10 Local Time (GMT -3) for 20 minutes before the 23 lap race begins at 14:20 h.
#52 Danny KENT – 8th (1’43.858):
“I think we can be happy with the Qualifying, it’s only the second race of the year and it’s already our best and we’re inside the top ten which is our goal coming into the weekend. I was struggling with the setup a little, the wind didn’t help. All weekend I was strong in T3 and T4 and we were losing everything in T1 and T2, I am losing everything there so I need to look at the data and some videos. If I can get those sections together then we will be very close to the front. Thanks to the team for their hard work, which is paying off. I’m happy for us all.”
