Texas weekend finishes with frustrating DNF for Danny
The third race of the Moto2 World Championship left a bad taste in the mouths of the Leopard Racing Team. After a troubled weekend spent chasing better feeling from the chassis and suspension, both riders were unable to finish the race.
Danny Kent was forced to retire on the fifth lap. After an encouraging Warm Up, he was hopeful of salvaging something from the weekend. But as the lights went out, Danny’s bike bucked off the line and suggested not all was well with his Kalex.
Stefan Keifer and his team will now roll up their sleeves and head to Jerez de la Frontera for the next round of the championship, determined to redeem themselves.
#52 Danny KENT – not classified:
“Finally it was a really disappointing weekend for me and the team. We’ve struggled throughout and to make things worse we went into the race and found we had a clutch problem so had to retire. It’s not what we want, sometimes this is part of racing. We had a lot of bad luck this week and I’m sure we can go to Jerez and return to where we should be. I feel we should be inside the top ten.”
