Complicated start to Jerez weekend for Danny

 In News

Both Danny Kent and his teammate Miguel Oliveira struggled to crack the top ten on Friday as the Jerez weekend got underway.

Temperatures of around 25°C welcomed the protagonists the intermediate class as they engaged in the first day of the Spanish Grand Prix. The Leopard Racing team was abuzz with work in order to support Miguel Oliveira and Danny Kent in their endeavours.

Since Free Practice 1, the Moto3 World Champion, Danny Kent, managed to show well on the hard tyres and ended in seventh. In the afternoon session the Brit focused on solving several small issues with his clutch and wrapped up the day in 17th. Kent would not improve on his 1’43.678 from FP1.

Tomorrow practice resumes at 10:55 (GMT +2) for the third practice session before Qualifying commences at 15:05 for the intermediate class.

#52 Danny KENT – 17th (1’43.678):
“I would say it’s been a much better start than in Austin. Our position today doesn’t show the full potential and my sectors are much better than what our ‘fastest’ lap showed. We made a change in the second practice and I think it was for the worse as I had zero confidence in the front after feeling really good with it in the morning. We need to look at the data and see what to do.”
