Fever and sickness make opening Mugello sessions a struggle for Danny

An intense day of work on Friday for the two riders of the Leopard Racing Moto2 team. On the first day of practice at the Mugello circuit, the sixth round of the 2016 championship, Danny Kent did not rest, working even in the imperfect conditions of a damp track to look for a perfect bike balance.

Danny, the Moto3 World Champion was struggling in Tuscany today – starting the weekend with a fever. His physical condition didn’t allow him to bring out his best but the 21 year old was able to still end within a second of Zarco, the fastest rider of the day.

Tomorrow practice resumes at 10:55 (GMT +2) for the third practice session before Qualifying commences at 15:05 for the intermediate class.

#52 Danny KENT – 20th (1’53.934):
“Unfortunately we go into the weekend and I’m not feeling great, I’m pretty sick. To be only one second from first is not a bad start to the weekend. For sure I’ll be getting an early night tonight and dosing up on some medicine to make myself better for tomorrow. I have a good feeling with the bike but cause I’m sick I lose strength very fast. I have a much better feeling with the bike compared to the last two races so hopefully we can show our full potential.”
