It was a Saturday full of satisfaction for the Leopard Racing team at the Italian Grand Prix, the sixth round of the 2016 World Championship at the Mugello circuit.

Danny Kent and teammate Miguel Oliveira hit the track with their Kalex bikes for the last round of Free Practice before Qualifying to decide Sunday’s grid.

After being hit by flu in recent days, Danny was closer to full fitness as he ventured out on track today. The mtoo3 World Championship was able to concentrate on the bike, working on improving his feeling with the tyres at the end of FP3 in the morning and ended fourth overall. In Qualifying the Brit set a similar time, seventh tenths from pole man and fellow Brit Sam Lowes and will start 18th.

Tomorrow at 09:10 Local Time (GMT +2) the riders will be back on track for 20 minutes of Warm Up before the lights go out at 12:20 Local Time for the sixth race of the 2016 Moto2 World Championship.

#52 Danny KENT – 18th (1’52″694):
“18th is not where we want to be but we have to look at the positives. This track seems so close in Moto2, we had a good morning and we ended P4. I had a good feeling with the bike and I did the same lap time as this morning but I ended down in P18! We’ve done quite a few fast laps so that’s positive. I’m just happy to be riding again and enjoying riding.”
