Difficult & frustrating Friday for Danny Kent at Misano

 In News

It’s been an uphill start to the Grand Prix of San Marino and Riviera di Rimini, the thirteenth round of the 2016 season, for the Moto2 Leopard Racing Team duo. The 4.2 km of the Misano World Circuit saw Danny Kent and teammate Miguel Oliveira working hard on Friday during the free practice sessions.

A mere 72 thousandths behind his teammate today was Moto3 World Champion, Danny Kent. The Briton, who last year was on the front row in qualifying and then set fastest lap in the race, fought between the curves of the MWC but could not improve his time recorded in the morning and earned himself the 21st position.

Saturday will open with the third and final free practice session, anticipating the afternoon show of formal qualifications that will decide the starting grid for the Moto2 Grand Prix of San Marino and Riviera di Rimini 2016.

#52 Danny KENT – 21st (1’39.191):
“To sum up today: terrible. Very similar to the problems we had in Silverstone. Zero grip in the rear and no confidence in the front at all. I have so many moments where I am on the limit and nearly crashing but we are two seconds off the pace. It’s not normal. This isn’t where we should be. Something needs to change.”
