Leopard Racing switches to Suter in 2017 with Kent and Aegerter
In their second year in the intermediate class, the Leopard Racing Team will work in Moto2 with Suter Racing Technology. The agreement marks the return of the Swiss manufacturer in the World Championship after the successes in the Moto2 class from when it debuted in 2010.
The new agreement with Suter provides a long-term partnership with the Leopard structure and team manager Stefan Kiefer, and also confirms the commitment of Leopard Racing to the Moto2 project to forming a winning combination and repeating the success found in Moto3.
The two MMX2 machines will contest the Championship in 2017 with the colours of Leopard Racing Team with Danny Kent and Dominique Aegerter charging them forward. For the British rider it is a confirmation of trust in his riding abilities and results that culminated in the conquest of the world title in the Moto3 class in 2015, with four pole positions and six victories.
Next season Kent will share the Leopard Racing box with Dominique Aegerter. The 26 year old from Rohrbach took his first steps in the Moto2 class back in 2010 when the series began alongside Suter. He has shown steady progress and finished fifth overall in 2013 and 2014. Along the way he collected seven podiums including an incredible pole and victory at the German Grand Prix at the Sachsenring.
