It was an encouraging Friday for the Leopard Racing team at the Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana Motul, the last round of the season 2016. On the 4 km of the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Cheste, the two riders of the Moto2 intermediate class, Danny Kent and returning teammate Miguel Oliveira, did their best, attacking the asphalt from the first run.

Danny Kent in particular showed a great feeling with the Valencian circuit, appearing at ease between the corners and the long straight. Sixteenth in the morning practice, the British 22-year old has filed more than 7/10 to its reference lap in the afternoon, closing the FP2 fifth, the ninth overall in the combined on Friday.

Saturday opens with the third and final free practice session, anticipating the afternoon show of formal qualifications that will decide the rule of the Grand Prix of the Moto2 grid Motul de la Comunitat Valenciana 2016.

#52 Danny KENT – 9th (1’35.877):
“Really happy with the first day here in Valencia, it’s been the most positive first day of the entire year. I have a great feeling with the bike and there’s still potential to go faster. It’s mostly in myself, I made a few mistakes at a few corners, riding a bit too careful. I know what I need to do and I’m happy with today. We just need to keep working in this direction.”
