Danny concludes weather-affected Valencia test
Three days of Moto2 testing came to a close today at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia.
The low temperatures have significantly affected the entire test. Riders and teams were stuck in the pit-boxes in the first day because of rain and too cold weather. Very low temperatures even in the other 2 days that forced almost all the riders to skip the first session of the morning.
Important information was gathered during the four test sessions by the Speed Up riders who, together with their staff, made continuous changes to the SF18 setting that will be very useful for the development of the bike, with Danny Kent finishing eighteenth (85 laps – 1’37.303).
Speed Up Racing Team will return on track for the second pre-season Official Test from 12th to 14th February at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit in Spain.
“It has been good to finally get back riding the Speed Up after the winter break. It has been a difficult test in many ways because the weather was too cold, or the track was wet. I have enjoyed riding again but I can’t wait to arrive in Jerez now because unfortunately we wasn’t able to solve the problems we had here in Valencia so another 3 days of testing will be good!”
